			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-610" title="EngineersWeekLogo" src="http://www.physics.ie/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/EngineersWeekLogo.jpg" alt="EngineersWeekLogo" width="429" height="163" />Science Ireland will be performing our new Electromagnetic Workshop to primary schools in Belmullet, Co. Mayo as part of Engineers Week 2010.  This will be the first time primary school students will get to experiance the Electromagnetism Workshop, making compasses and building motors.<br />
Engineers Week 2010 will take place from <strong>Monday 8th to Saturday 13th February 2010</strong>.  Activities will take place on the week before the mid-term break while Saturday, 13th February will host Engineers Week’s first family day!</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><img class="alignleft size-full wp-image-615" title="RDS_science_fair" src="http://www.physics.ie/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/RDS_science_fair.jpg" alt="RDS_science_fair" width="332" height="379" />Science Ireland performed three shows at this year RDS Primary Science Fair held at the BT Young Scientist Exhibition. This is the first year that the RDS have sponsored the Primary Science Fair. While not part of the main competition, it provides an opportunity for students from 100 primary schools to display their class projects at a major exhibition.</p>
<p>Science Ireland performed shows to over 1,000 students over the three days. The show on Friday was a full house of 750 students. Based on the theme of sound the finale of the show was a performance by Bang the Drum with Irish Aid, who amazed the crowd with their drumming.</p>
